

The Forum "Read Messages" page is where you can read messages left by other users since the last time you logged on. You also have the option of setting the date (and even hour) of the messages you want to list. All messages from that point in time forward will be listed. You can then easily browse through the messages for any that are of interest to you. You can even reply (answer or ask questions) to messages posted here.
List Contents:
Section Name -- The list of the currently available message categories to select from.
Number -- The number of new messages in each category.
*Go* -- Retrieves the list of new Msg Subjects for that particular Section that is highlighted. Note: Double clicking on the list will do the same action as the GO button.
List Contents:
Subject Name -- The list of the Subjects for a Msg Section to select from.
Number -- The number of new messages for each Subject.
*Go* -- Retrieves the list of new Msg Threads for that particular Msg Subject that is highlighted. Note: Double clicking on the list will do the same action as the GO button.
List Contents:
Sender's Name -- The list of the currently available messages to select from. The author's name appears and is offset from the left margin according to the thread's order of response.
*Go* -- Retrieves the actual message text for that particular Msg Thread that is highlighted. Note: Double clicking on the list will do the same action as the GO button.
The contents of the selected message from the List Boxes at the top of the page. Here is where you can also enter replies.
Set the date from which to retrieve messages. All messages from that Date/Time forward will be available in the List Boxes at the top of the page.
Month -- Pick a month to search from.
Day -- Pick a Day to search from.
Year -- Pick the Year to search from.
Hour -- Pick the Hour to search from.
Set Date Command Button -- After you have set the desired Month, Day, Year and Hour, click on this to retrieve a list of messages.
Note: All times are in GMT (or Universal Time) unless otherwise noted.
Clear Command Button -- Clears the Message area of any existing text.
Answer Command Button -- Clicking on this button will put you in "Answer" mode. This is what you click on if you want to reply to a message.
Send Command Button -- Normally disabled, this button is only enabled when you are in Answer mode. After you click on this button to actually submit your response, this button is again disabled.
Status Line: At the bottom of the page frame and just above the Copyright notice is the Status line. System messages will appear here as you use VIM. Keep an eye there as it will present a lot of valuable information as you use VIM.
